A few years ago a local radio station was having listeners call in and answer this question. For some reason I was thinking of it last night so thought I would pose the same question here.
No contest, my answer is Apollo 13. I saw it twice in theaters and it led me down the road to becoming an Apollo space program history buff.

Money Pit, I agree with Tamara, and it's worth watching just to see him stuck in the carpet.

Don't forget the part in The Money Pit where the bathtub falls through the floor and he goes into hysterical laughter - that's my all-time favorite scene. Although the stairs falling down and Shelly Long standing on his fingers is a close second!!
