Bye Bea. Good luck in college.
If the processing date on the back of this picture is the same year it was taken, it was the summer that I graduated from high school. As a graduation gift, the Pratts gave me the Dr. Seuss book, "Oh, The Places You'll Go" and now some years later this sweet little girl is off to places of her own.
For 12 years and 363 days, I was the youngest grandchild and then Miss Beatrice arrived to bless our clan. It was the first time I had been around a baby and looked forward to our weekly visits when I would put her in the Snugli and walk her up and down the hall until she fell asleep. It's been a pleasure to watch this little girl grow into a bright and beautiful young woman. I'm going to miss having her right around the corner but she's got the world by the tail and I have no doubts she can do anything she puts her mind to.
I love ya, kid. Be good. And I think it goes without saying, but I will anyway, NO more mini-golf!!!
"And will you succeed? Yes! You will, indeed! (98 and 3 / 4 percent guaranteed.)
KID, YOU'LL MOVE MOUNTAINS!
So...be your name Buxbaum or Bixby or Bray or Mordecai Ali Van
Allen O'Shea, you're off to Great Places!
Today is your day! Your mountain is waiting.
So...get on your way!"

OK Brat, you made me cry!
Ditto from me too Bea. You're a great kid/person. I'm really glad I was around this summer to get to know you even better. This will be a REALLY exciting time in your life. The first of many major changes, but CHANGE IS GOOD. And you will be surprised at "the places you'll go."
Love ya!
My "ditto" is to what Hope said in her blog. Kay got her comment just ahead of mine. HAVE FUN!
Bea - You've got a good head on your shoulders and I've no doubt you'll make the most of that and your talents. Enjoy the different people, views, experiences, but also remember you have good roots!
Love Kirsten
And if you need to be reminded of those roots just visit all the family blogspots. Of course there are so many of those now that it takes a bit of time, so maybe you should do your school work first.
Bea - You will do great (as long as you stay away from mini-golf :-) Your parents should be proud to have raised such a lovely intelligent daughter.
Just remember "What we are is God's gift to us. What we become is our gift to God."
