I purposely got the message board in my office in the shot to inspire my fellow triathlon participants. It's a little hard to read because of the flash but hey, it's a self portrait, you can't expect perfection!
On another subject. I just checked to see when the Revolution plays FC Dallas. It is in September at Pizza Hut Park about 20 minutes north of us in a very modern stadium. I watched soccer there about two years ago, and my British friend said it was only a training league. Imagine that coming from a Brit! I will try to go in the fall to rally against your team and see if I can figure out what is going on.
The hair looks good! I was glad to see the sea turtle on your SheROX sign. I really wanted to participate, and was going to sign up just in case, but with the new distances and my new aches and pains and the new cost to sign up, I will just go and cheer the rest of you on. LD is glad I'm not participating, I guess it was giving him more gray hair worrying about me making that swim. He figures everyone else is a strong enough swimmer.
The sea turtle was a souvenir from a friend's trip to Aruba or somewhere warm like that. Regarding the new distances, I think it's been an adjustment for all of us. I think the swim will be okay but admittedly that new distance has been the hardest pill for me to swallow. I just keep telling myself that's what they have the "swim angels" for if you need a break.
I like your attitude and I'm sure you can all do it, however, I'm not as young as the rest of you and I never was very athletic. I feel good just knowing that I did it those two years, and I would have done it last year if anyone else had been going. Rock on!
