Days Gone By

Two weekends, two beautiful outdoor settings.

I've been feeling guilty for not updating my blog more but the simple fact is, life is busy right now. After a long winter, spring has finally sprung and I've been taking advantage of the nicer weather which means spending as much time outdoors with my two guys as I can.
Two weekends ago we took Jak to Cape Cod for a few days. The weather was cool which was only made colder by the wind. I haven't ever been to the Cape (and yes, I have lived in Massachusetts my whole life) so it was an adventure for all of us. The beaches were nice but they were missing one thing...seashells! There were lots of rocks, which are nice to look at and make a really cool sound when the ocean waves recede over them.

Last weekend we took a day trip to Pillsbury State Park in New Hampshire. The park wasn't yet open for the season so we had to park by the road and walk in but that also meant there weren't many people around. The temperature was in the 80's so it was a great day to be outside. I was trying to convey my dislike of snakes to Dan and was explaining that if there was one snake in an open field, I would find it. A little while later as we were hiking down a trail, I'm sure you can probably guess what slithered right in front of me. No it was not a big snake, yes it was probably harmless but to me it makes no difference. Dan steered me around it and I just didn't look. I don't hate snakes, I don't even wish them any bad, we can co-exist in this world fine as long as I don't have encounters with them.

Below are some pictures from the weekends. I hope everyone is enjoying Spring in their neck of the woods...

Lempster Wind Farm is only the last picture. I had a lot of trouble with the layout in my blog today.
